Downtown Barbourville centers on the Knox County Courthouse square, and parking here is straightforward and — best of all — free. On-street parking lines the streets surrounding the courthouse, with time limits that are generally generous enough for shopping, dining, and running errands. Most spots are a short walk from local shops, restaurants, and city offices.
On a typical day, finding parking downtown is easy. The main exceptions are during the Daniel Boone Festival in October and other large community events, when downtown fills up and you may need to walk a few extra blocks. Arriving early during festival week is always a good idea.

For dining and shopping, the square and surrounding streets offer the closest spots.
